Hotel warning – our experience. Hoi An: AIRA Boutique HotelJust wanted to share our experience in case it helps other travelers. We stayed at a beachfront hotel (paid about $136/night) and were quite disappointed. The location is good, but it’s not very quiet – there’s a restaurant next door with drunk guests and barking dogs, and a karaoke beach bar in front. The biggest issue was the hotel maintenance and service. The pool area is very run down: muddy/sandy deck, dirty and broken chairs, and pool houses with deteriorated palm roofs where blue plastic is visible underneath. Every morning we had to ask staff to clean the chairs, which should really be done before guests arrive.Service was also disappointing. When we raised our concerns, the hotel first offered to pay the transfer to our next hotel, but after learning we were going to Hue they changed it to only paying half ($29). Considering the price we paid per night, this felt quite unreasonable. Our attic room was spacious but dark, no beach view (blocked by buildings), and we initially had no hot water until asking them to turn it on.I’ve traveled a lot across Asia and honestly this was below the standard of most hotels in this price range. The room cleaning staff were kind, but overall we felt our concerns were not taken seriously by management.Just something to keep in mind if you’re looking for accommodation in the area.Best,

We stayed at Aira 2 years ago and had a fantastic time. No complaints what so ever. We have traveled in Asia and Vietnam many times and never have we met such an amazing staff as at Airas. Kind, attentive and helpful. Especially their manager Trang was absolutely FANTASTICO 😍
Did you not read the reviews?
Oh Thank you very much for your warning. I was about to stay in this hotel because chat GPT said it has lower chance of being flooded.
That seems a lot to pay, I recently booked a room for £55 for three nights. Admittedly not beachfront.
Stayed here last week, fab location super clean room, lovely staff and nice breakfast.
News flash….. An Bang sucks
Lambs to the slaughter
More money than sense…
We stayed her a few years ago. We loved it but I do agree it is expensive and they could do better! The pool area is how you described and the second newer pool is totally left with no care or attention. Its a shame as it could be a fantastic area to visit on the way back from the beach. We are going there again in a few weeks time. We hesitated whether to rebook but hoped the second pool area which was the biggest let down would be attended to, cleaner, maybe some plants planted etc to make it nicer. It appears nothing has been done as my sister stayed there recently and said its disappointing. We did hear dogs barking throughout the night but did not experience karaoke. That must be new to near there sadly. I hope the hotel see this review and pay attention to what matters. We found the rooms clean, service and food great. Just the overall areas need attention. Everybody slating the op. 136 dollars a night! Absolutely right they should expect better than this for that price. That’s luxury prices for Vietnam or anywhere in SEA.
