Hotel warning – our experience. Hoi An: AIRA Boutique HotelJust wanted to share our experience in case it helps other travelers. We stayed at a beachfront hotel (paid about $136/night) and were quite disappointed. The location is good, but it’s not very quiet – there’s a restaurant next door with drunk guests and barking dogs, and a karaoke beach bar in front. The biggest issue was the hotel maintenance and service. The pool area is very run down: muddy/sandy deck, dirty and broken chairs, and pool houses with deteriorated palm roofs where blue plastic is visible underneath. Every morning we had to ask staff to clean the chairs, which should really be done before guests arrive.Service was also disappointing. When we raised our concerns, the hotel first offered to pay the transfer to our next hotel, but after learning we were going to Hue they changed it to only paying half ($29). Considering the price we paid per night, this felt quite unreasonable. Our attic room was spacious but dark, no beach view (blocked by buildings), and we initially had no hot water until asking them to turn it on.I’ve traveled a lot across Asia and honestly this was below the standard of most hotels in this price range. The room cleaning staff were kind, but overall we felt our concerns were not taken seriously by management.Just something to keep in mind if you’re looking for accommodation in the area.Best,

Hot water not been turned on – been there
Basing yourself in Danang would have time go! Lits of things to see within an hours drive!
Do your homework. YouTube for just one. Your Travel agencies pay like $30 for a room which lists for $130 on website. There are still reasonable accommodations in Vietnam if you are willing to explore.
That is pricey, thanks for the info.
Less is more in Vietnam
1st world problems in a 3rd world country
Uh oh. I’m booked at that hotel next week 😔
Should check hotel reviews before booking, the rate you paid is too high per night for such run down hotel
