Hotel warning – our experience. Hoi An: AIRA Boutique HotelJust wanted to share our experience in case it helps other travelers. We stayed at a beachfront hotel (paid about $136/night) and were quite disappointed. The location is good, but it’s not very quiet – there’s a restaurant next door with drunk guests and barking dogs, and a karaoke beach bar in front. The biggest issue was the hotel maintenance and service. The pool area is very run down: muddy/sandy deck, dirty and broken chairs, and pool houses with deteriorated palm roofs where blue plastic is visible underneath. Every morning we had to ask staff to clean the chairs, which should really be done before guests arrive.Service was also disappointing. When we raised our concerns, the hotel first offered to pay the transfer to our next hotel, but after learning we were going to Hue they changed it to only paying half ($29). Considering the price we paid per night, this felt quite unreasonable. Our attic room was spacious but dark, no beach view (blocked by buildings), and we initially had no hot water until asking them to turn it on.I’ve traveled a lot across Asia and honestly this was below the standard of most hotels in this price range. The room cleaning staff were kind, but overall we felt our concerns were not taken seriously by management.Just something to keep in mind if you’re looking for accommodation in the area.Best,

We stayed in the Aira boutique hotel in Hanoi in February, five minutes from train street. It was a lovely hotel and the staff were lovely ☺️
We stayed at the same hotel. Absolutely no complaints. It was good.
Yeah that nightly room rate is out of whack for what you experienced.
Such a shame this was your experience.
I would expect more with that price in Vietnam. I have no complaints with resorts in Mui Ne.
Thank you for sharing.i would expect a far different standard than this.
How could you have stayed here ,
Kimm Louise McLaughlin this is one of our hotels we’re staying at. I think we need to take this to our travel agent
You got ripped off $135 a night that’s insane
