Hotel warning – our experience.

Hotel warning – our experience. Hoi An: AIRA Boutique HotelJust wanted to share our experience in case it helps other travelers. We stayed at a beachfront hotel (paid about $136/night) and were quite disappointed. The location is good, but it’s not very quiet – there’s a restaurant next door with drunk guests and barking dogs, and a karaoke beach bar in front. The biggest issue was the hotel maintenance and service. The pool area is very run down: muddy/sandy deck, dirty and broken chairs, and pool houses with deteriorated palm roofs where blue plastic is visible underneath. Every morning we had to ask staff to clean the chairs, which should really be done before guests arrive.Service was also disappointing. When we raised our concerns, the hotel first offered to pay the transfer to our next hotel, but after learning we were going to Hue they changed it to only paying half ($29). Considering the price we paid per night, this felt quite unreasonable. Our attic room was spacious but dark, no beach view (blocked by buildings), and we initially had no hot water until asking them to turn it on.I’ve traveled a lot across Asia and honestly this was below the standard of most hotels in this price range. The room cleaning staff were kind, but overall we felt our concerns were not taken seriously by management.Just something to keep in mind if you’re looking for accommodation in the area.Best,

This is what reviews are for. On your booking platform and on Google.

I returned from this hotel 2 weeks ago. Found the staff to be incredibly friendly and welcoming.

There’s so many other nice places to choose in an bang village. Sorry you had a bad experience. It would definitely not be my first or second choice

Many times the pics on their website are very misleading. Looks good until you walk in & find out it’s dirty & rundown. We we burned in Bangkok & Hanoi & just chalked it up to part of the experience.

Its probably worth remembering that not that long ago that whole area was smashed with rain and floods, which did a lot of damage. I get the feeling everyone is still recovering from that.
