Hotel warning – our experience. Hoi An: AIRA Boutique HotelJust wanted to share our experience in case it helps other travelers. We stayed at a beachfront hotel (paid about $136/night) and were quite disappointed. The location is good, but it’s not very quiet – there’s a restaurant next door with drunk guests and barking dogs, and a karaoke beach bar in front. The biggest issue was the hotel maintenance and service. The pool area is very run down: muddy/sandy deck, dirty and broken chairs, and pool houses with deteriorated palm roofs where blue plastic is visible underneath. Every morning we had to ask staff to clean the chairs, which should really be done before guests arrive.Service was also disappointing. When we raised our concerns, the hotel first offered to pay the transfer to our next hotel, but after learning we were going to Hue they changed it to only paying half ($29). Considering the price we paid per night, this felt quite unreasonable. Our attic room was spacious but dark, no beach view (blocked by buildings), and we initially had no hot water until asking them to turn it on.I’ve traveled a lot across Asia and honestly this was below the standard of most hotels in this price range. The room cleaning staff were kind, but overall we felt our concerns were not taken seriously by management.Just something to keep in mind if you’re looking for accommodation in the area.Best,

I stayed at Aira Hanoi and it was fabulous
Ahoy Boutique hotel Hoi An very good price clean and great setting ,a real bit of paradise .
Travel around Asia and pay $136 for a substandard hotel..needed to do more homework mate!
I stayed in a brand new 5 star beach front hotel in Da Nang for only $113 a night. You basically got ripped. Shoulda taken that money elsewhere
Complaining about noise next door is another level.
We stayed here in July last year.. had a fabulous experience.
It’s a shame the hotel doesn’t respond on this post!
We are currently in Hoi An staying at Golden holiday Spa, £38 GBP per night including a fantastic breakfast, water, perfect location, staff amazing, room spotless and lovely balcony. Definitely recommend, we are coming back next year.
I stayed a week there in Jan. No issues. Left all my camera gear in the room and had maid service everyday. I was at the beach or biking all day.
