It’s the tap water that makes people sick, not so much of the food

We bring loperamide and azithromycin with us, but our insurance covers it completely so it doesn’t cost us anything. You can also purchase these in Vietnam and probably much cheaper than in your home country if you don’t have coverage for meds. Do also purchase travel medical insurance prior to your trip.

I was prescribed Azithromycin (6 tabs) just in case. It’s packed in and I will be there in less than a week. Hopefully, I don’t need it.

Don’t bring anything with you. If you get sick, it’s better to buy medicine in the country you’re in that will help against the bacteria in that country.
