Do NOT travel on a Sunday. The buses are slower than normal. (The entire SEAsia is like this)

I have lived in Asia a long time I never go anywhere near monkeys

Stupid reason but your money need to be perfect. If you carry cash to exchange to đồng, go to bank and ask for new money.
Crossing the street might require a cat’s 9 lives, but you’ll be a billionaire in Vietnam!
Triple check your visa. We had one passport number mixed up on my daughter’s visa and were not allowed into the country until MONDAY, so we had to spend the night in Seoul. It was a huge mess and a very expensive small error. Also, get a local travel agent to book everything for you (inland flights, trains, hotels etc). Way easier.
About Phu Quoc. When I wa 10 years ago it was beautufull, nice beaches, local fishermann villages etc. Now allmost everything south from duong dong is construction site, resorts and new build mideterraen cities. Small roads beside sea dont exist. All the beaches in northen site are resorts, some of them only for hotel guests. Others are so poluted and garbage is everywhere. If you whant stay in a resort and take paid excursions ok, but this is not vietnam anymore, they ruined it.
