Not to take so many clothes or shoes, shopping is amazing and we used the laundry services in the hotels.

If you hire/use a local tour guide, they will most likely take you to all the touristy spots b/c these guides get a kickback or fee from those spots. These touristy restaurants are usually more expensive and not that good. Make the guide take you to where the locals eat/shop as much as possible. The best currency exchange rates are at the gold/jewelry stores. Bring brand new crisp bills for the best exchange rates.

Download the GRAB app and use this instead of taxis, much cheaper.

The electricity is 220v. Most phones & computers are safe, but hair dryers, irons, & battery chargers can get burned up without a voltage converter.

If you have a severely weak immune system then you should stay out of the big cities. The air quality is not the best. Otherwise the big cities are perfectly fine even with its air quality. I personally love the big cities of Vietnam.
