That Phu Quoc was a funny old place (deserted film set)?? & we wouldn’t want to waste the energy there

You can’t withdraw much from ATM machines & the transaction fee is like 10%. For example, most ATMs I used, I could only withdraw 2 mill dong (about $77 USD) but I paid about $8 in ATM fees. So try to use cash only when you have to. Go to restaurants & stores where you can use your credit card. Use Grab for taxis, you won’t be ripped off & you can save your cash.

I now know that I thoroughly enjoyed the north (ha giang loop, Hanoi, tam coc, Hoi an). Went down to the two big islands (con dao and phu quoc) and had not the best “beach” vibe experience. Not terrible but if you are wanting that ultimate island beach getaway try Cambodia or Thailand
