Don’t take the Unification train from Hanoi south , too many tunnels , very little scenery! Having said must see Whae and Hoian !
Don’t use the napkin wipes they give you in restaurants. And bring pristine cash notes.
Definitely an empty suitcase. No need to pack so many toiletries etc
How easy it is to get around, next trip won’t be an organised tour I will book flights and 1 or 2 nights accommodation and wing it for the rest.
We were in Hanoi January 13 for 4 days,I was wearing sleeveless tops and I usually get cold easily.
Halal food
practise walking blindfolded in your alley. This will help in building confidence before crossing city roads in Vietnam. Closing your eyes with a smiling face and “flowing” in between thousands of bikes is the official rule.
Take loads of cash and most definately dont trust the atms to give your card back in good condition.
I wish I did 2 nights at Bana hills
