I just did cambodia and vietnam on my own no issues wonderful people
Can you walk unaided or no walking frames? can you use a smart phone down load grab app ? Yes then go and do it yourself just do lots of homework and watch u tube for ideas work out how long you want to go away for and whether you spilt it up to two trips or north and south due to the weather etc

If you’re hesitant, why not join a group tour? Pros and cons, but I’m sure you’ll enjoy!
Vietnam is a wonderful place to visit. My wife and I went there a couple of years ago. I am now 67.
Don’t wear flip-flops or crocs bring good hiking shoes bring a couple of pairs to alternate because your feet will sweat .
I’m 75 and traveled solo there for 9 weeks. Absolutely loved it and I’m going back in the fall. Use either Klook other your guide and go on day tours for minimal cost. Enjoy it!
