My thoughts on Nha Trang I’m just leaving Nha Trang after 4 days here. 4 weeks in Vietnam. I’ve loved every bit, except for Nha Trang. It’s full of Russians, the signs are often in Russian.I never had a thing about Russians before this, but by golly, I’ve been bruised by them on the street, as they just push past you, no manners in giving (even a fraction), when pushing past you on the footpath. I’ve heard them abuse the locals way too often. It’s not nice here anymore. I came to Nha Trang 16 years ago and really enjoyed myself. This time, I actually ended up avoiding going out, because the vibe isn’t great.Maybe I was in the wrong part of Nha Trang, but I am so happy to be leaving and I won’t be coming back. Has anyone else had a similar experience here, or is it just me?I did meet a couple of nice ones, but the majority just treated others like we are in their way, like servants and the manners were non existent that I saw, in general.

They are everywhere bali as well and the women think they are movie stars ..
Oh no that is so sad. It is my favourite place in Vietnam. Went back there after covid and found very few Russians then but prior to covid quite a few. Sad to hear that they treat the locals badly as they are beautiful people.
I’ve been to nha trang several times, beautiful place, there are lots of Russians, but I’ve never gad a problem with them.
We visited Nah trang 4 years ago & I didn’t experience any thing like this there where lots of Russians but I loved Nha Trang it’s sad that a war that doesn’t invole Vietnam is affecting it in different ways
Just got back from Vietnam..food poisoning in Nha Trang…also apart from Russians barging along “foot paths” they need to rename footpaths as motorcycle and car parks..spent more time on the road dodging traffic than walking footpaths to observe businesses and restaurants
Someone mentioned this to me when I was deciding whether to go there or phu quoc. I opted for phu quoc and it was the same 🤣 I also won’t be going back.
Had similar experience in Sri Lanka some years ago. The drivers hate being hired by them.
I hear you. We spent a week there 6 years ago in Nha Trang beach. Lots of Russians around. We just observed, & found them rude & no smiles or acknowledgment. So we treated them as invisible & they got out of our way.
I grew up in NhaTrang . I love my city. But my husband and I made a promise that we would never go back to Nha Trang next time we visit cause it’s not Nha Trang anymore. It’s Russian and China Town
I agree, it’s been like that for years, rude arrogant individuals . 10 years ago was my first experience with 2 guys in a restaurant who were so nasty to a young Vietnamese woman working there that I ended up speaking to to them about their attitude and arrogance towards her. They had her in tears snd she was so upset she ran out the front door onto the street. I became agitated and explained to them about etiquette and that she spoke in her native language and that it was their fault they couldn’t understand her, not hers. I was abused by them as I went outside to find her. She wouldn’t return to the restaurant because she didn’t want to face them again but feared losing her job if she didn’t go back, I walked her back jn past them and explained to her boss.
