My thoughts on Nha Trang I’m just leaving Nha Trang after 4 days here. 4 weeks in Vietnam. I’ve loved every bit, except for Nha Trang. It’s full of Russians, the signs are often in Russian.I never had a thing about Russians before this, but by golly, I’ve been bruised by them on the street, as they just push past you, no manners in giving (even a fraction), when pushing past you on the footpath. I’ve heard them abuse the locals way too often. It’s not nice here anymore. I came to Nha Trang 16 years ago and really enjoyed myself. This time, I actually ended up avoiding going out, because the vibe isn’t great.Maybe I was in the wrong part of Nha Trang, but I am so happy to be leaving and I won’t be coming back. Has anyone else had a similar experience here, or is it just me?I did meet a couple of nice ones, but the majority just treated others like we are in their way, like servants and the manners were non existent that I saw, in general.

RACIST! how do you know they were Russians, did you ask them?? they could just as easily have been Latvian, Estonian, Lithuanian, Ukrainian, Khazakstani, Belorussian or any other country that speaks a cyrillic derived language. YOU ARE THE ONE WHO SHOULD BE AVOIDED spreading your poison on the net.
Many of them are from Belarus 🇧🇾 and they do speak Russian language as well. So many people would think they’re Russians. They speak both languages: Belarusian and Russians
I can honestly say that nha trang was the place I will never go back to out of all the places in Vietnam we visited because of the same reasons we spent 4 weeks travelling in the south and for us it was way too long unfortunately food options I found were limited unless you like soup every day but each to their own
I am in Nha Trang now. I have been here many times before. I think your description is right on. That’s exactly how it is now as the beach city has grown to be a large city now. The funny thing is, they dress like they never left their little nowhere towns far from Moscow or St Petersburg. They don’t seem to treat each other friendly either.
I’ve been to Nha trang twice in recent years and I stay at the Intercontinental. I don’t go out at night as I’m solo and in my 70’s and just can’t be bothered, but I do enjoy myself in the day there and haven’t come across many Russians.Maybe they are in a different part of town.
Avoid the part of Hon Chong over the Bridge
The last time I visited NT I had booked, and paid for, 4 days, but I stayed less than 4 hours. The russians that can afford to travel aren’t the nicest…..
I was in Vietnam last Year, Also in Nha Trang. No problem with the russians, bur with the americans.Anyway, Vietnam is a wonderful country and My favourite placeboeffekt is Hoi An
Yes 100% Nha Trang. And the Chinese just tossing their trash on the ground. Trash on the beach and in the water. We stayed in pool for most part.
I had zero negative interactions with Russians on my multiple trips to Nha Trang.
