I had food poisoning in Australia after going vietnam, gave me haemorroids
Only time I had it was from an expensive restaurant.
I’m a Vietnamese who is living in US. Two years ago when I went back to HCMC, I bought food from a mini market (not street food) and got food poisoning. My wife who is also a Vietnamese also had food poisoning a few days later.
Never had an issue but take probiotics a week or two before travelling and while you’re there, always use bottled water, eat where it’s busy and popular with the locals!
I stuck to mid range restaurants and hotel food and still had diarrhea the first few days…and later. And I live in China so I’m used to food not always being the most reliable.
No, if you do, you need to seek the advice from a pharmacist.. it’s free advice, and no wait time.. you will need 3 medications..
On our 4th week here and no issues whatsoever!
