Yes, we had with my girffirend yesterday
My daughter was very poorly after eating at HCMC airport and I think that’s pretty common.
7 months living here, never
No never..
Never had issue with street food but KFC yes 😭
Just don’t eat street food
get food poison once
Yes only once back in 1993 when Vietnam just started to open up to the world and you still could see cows on the road and Tuc Tucs in Vung Tau. I ate crab and other seafood at a restaurant and had orange juice and woke up in the middle of the night with severe cramps and diahhrea. My husband went into the chemist and got me this big black pill and it passed after that. When i got back to Australia because i kept on having loose stills and was tested pilositive for parasites. I was given 2 courses of flagyl but was reffered to a liver specialust because it was elevating my liver enzymes. I have been back to Vietnam many times since then the last was 10 years ago with my kids and we ate at my inlaws and in restaurants and we never had any problems.
Get a script from your doctor for the correct antibiotics for Vietnam. Over the counter stuff will just make it worse is what our pharmacist told us. Just having it seems to protect you. lol.
Was there for two weeks and ate everything from Ho chi Minh to Ha noi and no issues. Only to return to the USA and had food poisoning two days later
