Is it safe to leave passport in hotel safe ?I’ve purchased a travel safe and padlocks for my suitcase. Is it safe to leave passports in hotel safe ? Or is passport in my personal travel safe and then in hotel safe ? Or could I leave in luggage in my travel safe with padlock on suitcase? I’ve heard so much conflicting information and also about bags being snatched so not wanting to take them with me every where and out on tours to water etc.

When I’m in other countries, I’ve never leave my passport anywhere, it is always with me. I do take good care of it as I do take good care of my self.
I’ve never left anything in a safe, I hear far too many stories of things being stolen from them. Always carry your passport with you, divide any money up in to your purse and day bag I would say.
keep ur passport with u all the time when travelling to a foreign country…that is ur official ID
Check first if the safe is bolted down. But personally my wife and I always have our passports with us.
You always bring passport with you wherever you go when not in country of residence. That is your ID

We never leave passports in hotel safes no matter how “safe” they are. So my husband and I purchased crossbody bags that can’t be slashed or cut due to mesh linings.
I just left mine in my room in Saigon last week, & the year before. No safe.
