I then got onto the bus and asked where my seat was and the driver just pointed straight I then just chose a random bed and he started shouting at me and said “ no “ without telling me where to actually go. The drivers here also beep a lot however this driver was constantly beeping every second and if you’re right at the front you will not get ANY sleep. We then stopped for a toilet break and after 3 minutes the driver starts shouting at everyone to come back bear in mind some ladies might take longer in the toilet etc. and lastly, there are children on this bus and the driver is driving and smoking cigarettes. I’m only about 4 hours into my journey and still have about 8 more left. Just wanted to warn everyone as it’s definitely made me feel out of place and I feel like I have to tip toe around them as I’m worried they will shout at me again lol.

Vietnamese just normally and naturally talk loud. It’s not meant to be offensive. Honestly, if any of this stuff bothers you, you should just go home. And who takes a sleeper bus everywhere? That’s the worst way to travel in Vietnam

Another backpacker feeling entitled and sorry for himself. Stay at home where everything is presumably perfect.

I think Vietnamese have a horn problem. Recently I caught a grab car from the Quang Ngai railway station to the port.
