In my many visits to VN I found most everything available and very inexpensive. Bring as much $ as you can afford to have, the food is inexpensive and so are nice hotels. My favorite hotel is MY FRIEND HOTEL in HCM City.

I suggest bringing hair pip. Its a small block shampoo / conditioner combined and it lasts for ages
Your own medication, strong pain relief, nasal sprays, preferred bug repellent. Sanitary items for women. The pain meds are vital. Don’t come here expecting to get anything stronger than paracetamol even in private hospitals. Drs letter essential.
