What are things you would definitely recommend bringing when visiting Vietnam for the first time? Not the obvious stuff like cash, but things you personally found useful that are hard to find or expensive there.Thank you🥰

A compact mirror that lights up. We stayed in very nice places but lights in bathroom shine on sink not mirror! Hard to do makeup!
Sunscreen, sunglasses, camera, flip flops…. You’ll figure everything else out.
Travel washing line & the laundry detergent that comes in sheets. Some teabags if you’re in a city & willing to hunt down milk. Most supermarkets sell 3in1 coffee sachets (with milk & sugar) for a morning coffee
I bring washable face cloths. Usually light ones like baby facecloth. I find with the heat I need to mop my brow ALOT! These are soft on my face and make the heat easier.
Rye bread
Water proof bag to put stuff in when you go for a swim, you don’t want to leave your phone, money unattended.
Earl grey tea if you drink it. Was difficult to find and when I did, it was expensive. We spent 7 weeks in Vietnam and loved it. We were able to get paracetamol and Imodium from the pharmacy. Nowhere we stayed had a face wash cloth so one of them if you use one. I found decent shampoo and conditioner was more expensive than I had anticipated. Sunscreen was more expensive than home.
Zip lock bags
Only thing I always take is medicine .
Saline solution for contact lense storage is difficult to find in smaller towns.
