No. Various visits no food poisoning. I think unsettled stomach once that i took charcoal tablets for? I eat street food too from time to time.
I lived there for 4 years and never once got sick from the food. Just look for places that have lots of local customers and you’ll be fine.

It’s a right of passage. If you are suffering from FOMO, go to the dragon bridge markets and order the cheapest seafood you can find, then argue for a discount.

No but I have had it in Sierra Leone and Uganda.
For those of you with sensitive stomachs or who worry about getting sick while traveling in Vietnam, I think you can feel free to enjoy street food and restaurants. Just be careful with ice. It’s better to avoid drinks with ice cubes. In many cases, ice in Vietnam can easily upset sensitive stomachs.
