Me and my daughter both got sick within 3 days of being in Da Nang. Luckily it only lasted about 12 hours for us. And there are pharmacies open 24/7 at least in Da Nang. My stomach is still hurting but my daughter has recovered.
Thailand
I’ve been to Vietnam about 12 times. I want to say I had tummy gurgles about 4 times and straight up food poisoning 1 time (coming out from both ends). Not terrible odds I guess hahaha. The food poisoning and tummy gurgles usually involved raw fish and resort beach towns.
I have. On a boat on Ha Long Bay. But I get something about half the times I’m in SE Asia or Vietnam. My American gut isn’t acclimated to it. I’ll still keep going back and eating street food though.
