Hi, we’re going Vietnam in March 🤩 Has anyone done the Ha Giang Loop solo (without a tour)? Me and my partner are thinking of just hiring a bike and doing it ourselves over 3 days. Would love to know any tips/ good stop offs / accommodation recommendations 🥰

Easy 🤩 I suggest map from tigit motobikes and more than 4 days to enjoy fully if you can
Welcome to Ha Giang, Vietnam. That’s my Vietnam
I did it last year. I booked an easy rider. Loved it! There were only 6 in my group (I went alone) which was nice.
i wouldn’d advice it,…. the ha hiang loop is beautifull but also dangerous road. we drove ourselves but in a guided group
I’m a local guide in Ha Giang loop,if you need any information about the loop just text me for help.
If you are from the US, you wont be able to rent a bike larger than 50cc as our motorcycle endorsement and an IDP are not recognized in Vietnam.
Honestly go with a group . If you don’t have the correct international driving permit and have an accident especially involving a 3 rd party you will be in a lot of trouble not just with police but financially
We just did it without any assistance cycling and it was way better then with the scooter. The slow pace allowed us to really enjoy the area.
Thousands and thousands of people have self ridden the loop… less so now because the police are very active and strict but people still do it.
I recently did this trip with a group. I drove by myself, while the rest of the group had a driver.
