Interestingly, I see a few restaurants in Hoi An are adding a 10% service charge. This in addition to the standard percentage if using a credit card.

I only tipped my tour guide, but definitely not taxi drivers or waiters

We are British, we did tip our grab drivers and in restaurants, but it wasn’t huge amounts, mostly rounded up.

I had my nails done and washed my hair also my facial, I tipped 200k. When I had my body massage, I tipped 300k. I had my lashes done, I tipped 100k-200k. So tips is not required, but the salary in VN is very low, I tipped more if I had good services.

Is anyone has a slightly idea that tipping in some Asian country is offensive?

I found 20k up. We tipped 100k if the staff went out there way. Especially on boat trips.

Pay the bill and consider that their wages in Vietnam have similar purchasing power to yours in your home country.
