I always tip while im there it helps them as wages so low, hell when my wife and I have car hire with soom one driving for the not only do we tip ill pay for their lunch and drinks
A lot of people refused our tip and to get paid when they help us with our broken bike …
What tipping this isn’t America
Little and often, they earn so little, 20k-50k.
Vietnamese tourists are always suggested to have a compulsory tip to drivers and tour guide when we travel abroad. In tourism, tipping for good services should be stimulated.
Guess the tipping question comes from an American because we in Europe pay our employees correctly so we dont have or need a tipping culture….
I see posts about giving 10k up….10k wouldn’t buy a a can of coke! Keep it in your pocket and don’t insult people!! They would prefer not the get a tip at all. 30k vd is 1 euro …..
They dont expect it. If you feel then give, I did it in our guide for an excellent service.
Vietnam tipping culture – “yes or no”
Tip if you feel like it, l mainly tipped our guides & attached driver because they spent a lot of time with us; were knowledgeable, friendly & attentive to our needs. I also googled – tried to be generous as I could 4 good service.
