   We’ve tipped between 100,000-500,000 vnd so far. Just depends on service. If it’s been not very good then they get nothing.

   Give what you want, but try to make sure it’s directly to the worker rather than the owner (lots of family owned restaurants here). But it’s not a norm … though who doesn’t like money? I especially make a point of tipping my Grab drivers … they love it!

   Depends on what you want. It’s generally not in the culture, but over the last few years it’s become more and more a thing. I personally tip the younger kids, as most of them are on anything from 4 mill to 6 million a month on wages and are students paying their way through school. I would give 20k for a coffee or 100k plus for a meal with the family if it’s a good service. My Kinh wife gives none 😂. Unless she is being treated well by a northern person. Don’t ask me why but it’s what it is 😆. I have heard some American mates give around 10% or more. Will depend on you. It’s not a given here.

   Not a tipping culture. American introduced tipping culture to Vietnam? We justified why we should tip🤷🏻‍♂️. Yes yes, we should for good service. My ex always justified how much money we make vs them. Not relevant.
