We are staying in a hotel over Tet (4* if that makes any difference) and we’re wanting to gift a small token of our appreciation to the staff we deal with who are working that day. Would $100,000 vnd each be acceptable or is that insulting? We are staying in a hotel over Tet (4* if that makes any difference) and we’re wanting to gift a small token of our appreciation to the staff we deal with who are working that day. That is so nice,!
I have some hóngbāo that I’d like to give to hotel staff when we go to HCMC next week
I think considering you will give it to more than one person, it’s good ans very nice of you.
Any gesture in my opinion is wonderful ….
I am Chinese Australian and normally do this with my nephews and niece
For Tet. Thats is fine. Of course, more is better. But that amount. Coming from a vietnamese like myself. It is acceptable.
What a wonderful gesture! 🙏
It’s not bad at all. You did something kind to show your appreciation to the workers there. At least you gave 100k to each person — maybe not a huge amount, but definitely not small either. It’s much better than a man i see in this group i guess advising others to give only 10–20k as lucky money🤔(he’s not even a Vnmese)
Put it in the red envelope 🧧
I would say so and I’ll be doing the same. I even got some money envelopes from Starbucks the other day so will be using those. 100k is about £3 in uk money, doesn’t sound a lot but for some people that’s nearly a days wage here!
