We chose the “home stay” version wanting to experience some of the local life. The ride from Hanoi was close to 6 hrs in a bus (pic #1). Well I had no idea 🤷🏻‍♀️😆. They made 2 stops (breakfast & lunch). Make sure to bring cash b/c you will need 3K dong to use the bathroom. It was suppose to be a 4 hr hike to the home stay but after a 30 min walk I called a taxi which got us there 3 hrs ahead of schedule. 🥳Our friendly guide gave us a tour of her village & home. You just don’t know how good you have it until you see how others live!

Bus was your first mistake.. only book VIP 24.. we didn’t like Sapa to be fair, not worth the 6 hour each way trip..

Why don’t you just stay home? We went 2 weeks ago and everything was green. We were informed that it takes 5-6 hours and 2 stops. The peace and tranquility they live in is priceless. We enjoyed SaPa so much.

We customised our whole tour for 4 people only. We had our own bus every time…it was great.
