I’m going to Vietnam for 3 weeks should I buy this T-Mobile international plan for $50 or is it cheaper to get a ESIM at the airport when I arrive over there?

You can use T-Mobile in VN for texting and fb messenger. Don’t need to buy an eSim.

I used Roamless and we have been from Sapa to o Phuo Quoc and now in Cambodia – no issues.

If your phone is locked by T-Mobile (not paid off yet) then no esim will work.

We got that exact plan. That plan is only good for calls, but omg their international data SUCKS lol. Had to buy an Airalo travel sim for data still 🤣

A Vietnamese physical sim is about 7.50USD per month for 6gb per day and a local number. $50 seems rather expensive for the convenience of keeping your home number.

We have T-Mobile. We were in Vietnam for 2.5 weeks. We used T-Mobile free 5GB to WhatsApp and text each other. I will admit that the texting was spotty. Sometimes my family didn’t get my texts for hours.

The tmobile plan worked well for me. Service was great too. Had service in the middle if a river in the country side lol

Go to a cell phone store outside of the airport. I got the sim and first month for 300k (12USD) – 8gb of data per day. The following months I just need to top up for 125k (5USD).
