I’m going to Vietnam for 3 weeks should I buy this T-Mobile international plan for $50 or is it cheaper to get a ESIM at the airport when I arrive over there? I don’t need phone calls or texts I just need data

Depending on your plan, T-Mobile might offer 5GB per month free international with low rate free data after.
Viettel Esim at the airport for 30 days is only 350,000 VND.
It’s cheaper for you to get eSIM at the airport
Don’t buy at airports!!!
In my experience , you should buy Esim in VN . I recommend Viettel and the price is definitely cheaper . Of course , it only works in VN but if you have plans to go to Thailand for example , international plan from Tmobile would be a better choice
I just got back from Vietnam on Thursday 1/28. I used Ubigi for esim for data. I paid $25 for 20GB for 7 days.
It’ll cost you about 10 bucks for an eSIM
$50 for 30 days is cheap. However, you can get ESIM or physical SIM card at any local VietTel store. My cousin got me one for < 200,000 VND (~$6 USD). You free Wi-Fi at the airport and use it to get GRAB transportation service.
Always better to purchase a SIM locally. Does your T-Mobile plan not include international data? I get 5gb high-speed and unlimited basic data when traveling abroad, including VN
I do Airlo – can buy their esim and turn it on when you land. We had great service from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh
