I booked all my accommodations to Vietnam with Booking but now I’m getting some messages on WhatsApp asking me to confirm my reservation or it will be cancelled.

I booked all my accommodations to Vietnam with Booking but now I’m getting some messages on WhatsApp asking me to confirm my reservation or it will be cancelled. Are they scammers trying to get personal info? I’ve replied to them to contact me via Booking only and I have blocked them. Anybody experienced this issue??

Ignore them. You booked online on booking it and communication should remain like that.

Never click on links but most of my hotels I booked on booking sent me WhatsApp to arrange arrival times and the like x

I had that last year. I responded to them on what’s app. Never had an issue. It’s a lot easier for them to communicate on WhatsApp rather than apps like booking or Airbnb

I had the same with Expedia in November. Expedia told me to ignore them as they a scam. I also contacted hotel direct who also confirmed my booking was ok and to ignore WhatsApp.

I’m getting messages everyday from different numbers, even now in my home language that no Vietnam hotel personnel will know😁 I just keep on reporting and blocking.
