Touristing, culture, bustling food and on the go I’d say Vietnam
Been to both. Personally, I loved Vietnam, but not for its beaches. If beaches are your thing, go for Thailand, although it is not what it used to be. Many “idyllic” islands are now overcrowded. Maybe Koh Lipe is more of what you are looking for. Do some research first. 😉
Doing both in one trip first time to both places this month
Loved both but Vietnam grabs your heart. Also eventually it will be over commercialised like many parts of Thailand. Thailand fab though too
I love Vietnam, but Thailand is best for beach time, also January is the est weather there.
Vietnam for Sure
They’re both incredible. Thailand is more modern (at least Bangkok) and has more western culture. That’s the biggest difference I find. I honestly think I like Vietnam slightly more but again, they’re both incredible. The bad tourists are the worst part 😂
Both are amazing in their own way. Depending on what kind of a trip you want. But if we were to book a trip tomorrow we would book Vietnam
Been to both countries multiple times covering north to south. Love both but Vietnam is definitely cheaper. More variety of foods in Thailand. Beaches are better in Thailand. Can’t go wrong. I would keep going back to both countries.
