Is ninh binh worth a night stay or a day trip?

Is ninh binh worth a night stay or a day trip?My hubby and I will be spending our last 4 days in Hanoi and we’re trying to figure out if we should just stick around Hanoi for those 4 days, or if ninh Binh is worth checking out. And if so, would y’all recommend staying the night, or is a day trip enough?

We wanted to stay for 7 nights in Tam Coc , but extend for another 6 nights. So much to see, staying here is the best part of our nearly 3 months travel in Vietnam.

We stayed in tam Coc for 4 days and it was out favourite spot!! Lots of activities, birds, nature, hiking, climbing. Tam Coc is closest to all the activities. Ninh Binh is the bigger city but not that close; you would have to cab it everywhere

Head to Tam Coc for the night as you won’t regret it. Beautiful scenery. We spent a few nights nearby and loved it.

We went to Hanoi, Ninh Binh, Phong Nha, and Hoi An, and Ninh binh was my favorite. If you have 4 more days, definitely check out Ninh Binh.

spent 3 nights in Ninh Binh last month, loved it . Hired bicycles for 2 day and rode round all the tourist sites instead of doing day trips. Ninh Binh walking street in the city is worth a night out simply for the scenery. Stayed in a £15pn homestay along the river side between Tam coc and Trang an, it was 15 mins ride to Trang an and 30 mins to Tam coc. but you get to see a lot more of the scenery. Loads of bars/restaurants in that area which have stunning scenery and it’s more peaceful and relaxing than staying in Tam coc. We stayed in the ‘Khe Ha’ area , loved it.

Ninh Binh was one of the highlights of my trip to Vietnam. It’s the most stunning place. The 3 hour boat trip and visiting the temples were out of the world and breathtaking. I stayed 4 days in the area of Ninh Binh, Tam Coc and surrounding areas. Only did one night one day in Hanoi as it’s so busy and noisy. I love the country side and little villages that you find in these areas. Da Nang and Hoi An is also amazing too, and Ha long bay which is in the North is stunning.
