Train vs. Bus for long distances?

I'm planning my trip from Hanoi to Hue and then to Da Nang. I'm wondering if I should take the train or a night bus. The bus seems faster and cheaper, but the train ride along the coast sounds beautiful. Any advice on the pros and cons of each?
