We currently only have one night in Ninh Binh. We could switch a couple of things around and stay two nights, but we would miss out on Ha Long Bay. Would we be missing much if we skipped out on Ha Long Bay?

I’d skip Ha Long bay.
Ha Long Bay is very over rated & over touristed but it is still beautiful and the trip out from Hanoi is pretty amazing too. I would recommend a day trip from Hanoi.
