   We’re just planning itinerary now and have opted for 3-4 days in Ninh Binh and skipping Halong Bay. I feel very excited about this plan. You can do a boat trip in NB including caves. We did a divineday trip island hopping off Phuket last year so that is the other reason we don’t feel the need to do Halong.

   We spent 5 days last May in Ninh Binh and there were lots to see and do. We have done Ha Long Bay also and definitely prefer Ninh Binh
