We arrive next week and Hoi An is on our itinerary. We have a basket boat tour arranged and have one free day. We are thinking of going to Ba Na for day but only want to see the bridge, not interested in the amusement park. Not 100% sold on doing the long drive there and back to Hoi An, it sounds like it’s expensive, crowds terrible and weather unpredictable. Is Ba Na really worth it, would I regret it if we decided not to go? Are there other sights near Hoi An that are really interesting to visit? Thank you!!

Spend a day exploring the Hai Van Pass – the legendary “Most Spectacular Pass in Vietnam.” 🥰
We loved our day up at Ba Na Hills, so much more than just the Golden Bridge. We also experienced 4 seasons while up there in December. Check the weather before you go, if you go.
We loved Hoi an and spent 16 nights there. We did a coffee making class for 2 hours. I don’t drink coffee but still loved it. It was so much fun. Did the coconut boats, temples, shops etc and loads of fantastic places to eat.
Hoi An was one of my favourite places in Vietnam. It is busy but its also very pretty. BA NA Hills was ok but Hoi An is a must go.
Just take rhe cable car to the bridge and back down.
My Son Sanctuary, Monkey Mountain, Marble Mountains, Hue. And I recommend Ba Na Hills /Golden bridge- really amazing and beautiful. You can skip the amusement park but the rest is worth it!
Why not just relax, wander, eat and swim. Go to the markets, do lantern making.
You can visit My Son sanctuary from Hoi An instead
Just relax and enjoy Hoi An – we didn’t do any of the touristy visits and honestly had the best 4 days there
