We arrive next week and Hoi An is on our itinerary. We have a basket boat tour arranged and have one free day. We are thinking of going to Ba Na for day but only want to see the bridge, not interested in the amusement park. Not 100% sold on doing the long drive there and back to Hoi An, it sounds like it’s expensive, crowds terrible and weather unpredictable. Is Ba Na really worth it, would I regret it if we decided not to go? Are there other sights near Hoi An that are really interesting to visit? Thank you!!

I’d skip Golden Hand bridge/Ba Na Hills.

if you see the bridge is def worth walking around the rest of it. is very pretty
I’m not a fan of the place at all. Went up there before the Bridge was built in 2017. I did enjoy the cable ride and 1 ride on the toboggan. If going to Sapa, Phu Quoc you could wait for their cable car. It will be the most expensive day out in Danang or Hoi An and since you are doubting it a good chance you’ll regret going. No history and all just looks out of place. But I’ve done it, so I can’t tell you not too. Maybe you like pretty flower beds and that can be your savior,
We are in Hoi An atm. The weather is not great so have decided to go to My Son instead.
I think it’s overrated, I would leave the day free to wonder around and soak in the charm and beauty of old town. It’s so pretty
Definitely go to Vin Wonders, it’s 20 minutes or so, South of Hoi An. Get there for 9:00am opening, then head to the bird show at 9:40. Then hop on the safari river cruise. Lots more to see and do. The water park is amazing, kids and adults will love it. Some nice cheap lunch options, free arcade with video games etc. Some really good amusement rides. Great day out.
Bit like Vietnamese Disney so whilst not my thing I wouldn’t miss it . Chairlift amazing and bridge and ticked off list 👍go early because of queues..
We did a cooking class with boat ride was amazing x
If you have booked for basket boat tour. You can combine to do lantern making workshop at The Lantern House – Hoi An Lantern Making Workshop, which is in the Coconut forest area.
