We arrive next week and Hoi An is on our itinerary.

We arrive next week and Hoi An is on our itinerary. We have a basket boat tour arranged and have one free day. We are thinking of going to Ba Na for day but only want to see the bridge, not interested in the amusement park. Not 100% sold on doing the long drive there and back to Hoi An, it sounds like it’s expensive, crowds terrible and weather unpredictable. Is Ba Na really worth it, would I regret it if we decided not to go? Are there other sights near Hoi An that are really interesting to visit? Thank you!!

Hoi An is fabulous, just wandering around the old town and taking in the cafes and bars. Deffo worth a a couple of days being a slow tourist. The beach is also great. We skipped Ba Na Hills as it’s very Disney, but probably good on a decent clear day.

If you’re not sure don’t do it – I generally find instinct is right. Maybe head to Danang – chill on the beach and have a nice seafood lunch etc?

My Son is nearer and well worth a visit – go early is my advice – get a private taxi – stay 1-2 hours and then comeback to Hoi An and then walk An Bang beach in the afternoon ☀️🏝️

Ba na was the absolute highlight of my trip so each to their own. We went on a day that was foggy and light rain to start then cleared up. We loved it in all weather and I would go back, even stay a night as it’s so big to see. I would do bridge and amusement park because the buildings are amazing to see. I would have regretted travelling all that way and not going so you can see everyone is different. If you’re only going to see the bridge, then it may not be worth it. Also if you do go buy the international lunch ticket, it’s buffet with many options and worth it.

Previous experience of coconut rides there are a few of them read the reviews before going some of them are put it this way it will spoil the experience so read reviews to decide which service to use BA na hill is great if the weather is clear check the weather forecast for BA na hill area before going weather can get mental due to it being so high up hope you have a great time dragon bridge is worth visiting on a weekend for mainly kids but its 20 minutes of entertainment and a great market below the bridge
