Paul Thorley you should think about this after Ha Giang moto loop. Do Hanoi – Da Nang, … more scenery, relax, a few bevvies… Lotus Train private cabin ( 4 berth but pay extra for private use)
taking the train in Vietnam is such a great experience — the views are amazing since you are either going through the mountains or mountains on one side and sea on the other. It’s a great experience if you are prepared as Jason suggested.

How soon in advance do you need to book a train ticket please?
Thanks so much for the review. Do you have an idea of how long the beds are? My husband is 6 foot and my son is 6’3″, I am assuming they will be a little squashed in these beds, has anyone travelled on the train who is of similar size? How was your experience?
