Private Car Transfer – HCMC to Can Tho

Hi,

Our family of 4 needs to get to Can Tho from Saigon on January 1st (then back again on January 4th). Looking for a good value car service that can transport us and 4 decent bags. Any car company recommendations would be much appreciated.

Thank you

Hey traxstar – which boat tours did you do in My Tho if you don’t mind me asking. I seem to only be able to find ones as part of a day tour.

    This is Kalip.

I would say he knows English, but his accent and the way he speaks is typically Vietnamese-American-English.

He also has an in-law who doesn’t speak much English.

    I have a brother-in-law who’s from Sweden.

When I first met him (30 plus years ago) in the USA, his accent was decidedly Swedish-American. 😀

    Cheers,

    John

Also paid Kalip for entrance/boat tours we did at My Tho.

It was 2h 15min to My Tho without traffic, don’t know how long it will take to Can Tho, don’t trust Googlemap timing.

Went with Kalip 2020 before pandemic and it cost 100 dollars for a whole day, didn’t matter where and how many stops you wanted to go.

Paid in american dollars, but we also gave him tip afterwards and paid for the breakfast, lunch, dinner.

We booked 4 different days with him, he is very nice but doesn’t speak much english.

Going to book him again if he is available this summer.

We are going from Saigon to Can Tho and looking for a driver who can take us with a few stops along the way, in My Tho and Ben Tre.

Can you please send contact info for Kalip?

    Thanks much

Done! In fact he replied within seconds, gave what seems to be a very fair price and completed the booking within a couple of minutes. Thanks for the recommendation!

You should contact him to ask for the price.

In fact my wife and I will be needing a transfer from Can Tho to HCM in two days. Does Kalip accept credit cards? If not, how much cash would I expect to need?
