My thoughts on Nha Trang I’m just leaving Nha Trang after 4 days here. 4 weeks in Vietnam. I’ve loved every bit, except for Nha Trang. It’s full of Russians, the signs are often in Russian.I never had a thing about Russians before this, but by golly, I’ve been bruised by them on the street, as they just push past you, no manners in giving (even a fraction), when pushing past you on the footpath. I’ve heard them abuse the locals way too often. It’s not nice here anymore. I came to Nha Trang 16 years ago and really enjoyed myself. This time, I actually ended up avoiding going out, because the vibe isn’t great.Maybe I was in the wrong part of Nha Trang, but I am so happy to be leaving and I won’t be coming back. Has anyone else had a similar experience here, or is it just me?I did meet a couple of nice ones, but the majority just treated others like we are in their way, like servants and the manners were non existent that I saw, in general.

I had a great time in Nha Trang and found the majority of the Russians i encountered nice people and a lot of fun! I did see a few be rude to the Vietnamese tho. However, the sheer number in Nha Trang you would expect a few bad apples no matter which nationality
I Totally agree, I was visiting family there n staying at a place next to a Russian bar. Rude as hell even to local. We complimented on a Russian man’s dog n he rudely said, Don’t touch my dog! We were not touching it at all. Never want to come back again, even Koreans are rude as I’m staying at a 5 star hotel here in Da Nang right now, shoving me around at the buffet n in elevator, I am always polite n say Hi n they just ignore me like I’m beneath them. So K drama isn’t real in life with them, This is my country too but certain countries think they are above everyone,
Russians, Chinese, Indians no matter where you are .. you’re going to encounter them. It is sad, really.
In 1989 I was was at the border of Cambodia and saw truckloads of Vietnamese troops crossing into Vietnam. They thought I was Russian as there were no American tourists at that time. I could hear them saying derogatory things about me, thinking I was Russian. When I spoke to them in Vietnamese and convinced them I was American, they all raised their AK-47s and saluted. They hated the Russians but loved their former enemy.

We were in Nah Trang last week, back home In Australia now. My goodness, the Russians! I have never met a bunch of rude people ever! We literally talked about this topic everyday we were there. My friend was physically hurt by one who couldn’t even stop to apologise. They all seemed so miserable. Very sad for everyone trying to enjoy their holidays. We stayed on Vin Pearl and found we were definitely the minority.
Try Quy Nhon instead of Nha Trang
Unfortunately, now that they travel, it seems to be the way in most places they flick too, mostly once lively warm places by the sea.
The same in Coron Philippines. Cut in line, bad behavior, and generally disrespectful towards the country and other Asian tourists.
