My husband just asked what the toilet opportunities are like when out and about around in Vietnam?

My husband just asked what the toilet opportunities are like when out and about around in Vietnam? Is there plenty of public toilets in Hanoi, Hoi An, HCMC and Phu Quoc? We are also visiting Lan Ha bay and the Mekong Delta 👀🙈We are aware that it is recommended to bring own paper 👍

We found everywhere we travelled, even in rural, non touristy destinations to be super clean, hand soap was available everywhere – consider taking disposable toilet seat covers with just in case you get caught out 🤪(from Amazon)

Not many public toilets but you can always stop in a cafe, purchase a bottle of water or a drink and use their toilets.

Just got back from Vietnam. The only complaint I have for toilets is that they have no paper towel for you to wipe your hands after washing them. Also, not all toilets have hand soap.

I have never seen a “ squat toilet “ like I had to use sometimes in China and Taiwan. They are the worst 🤦🏻‍♂️

I use hotel lobby toilets everywhere in SE Asia. We all look the same to them 😂 so they don’t know if we are staying there or not. I don’t make a habit of it as I’m happy to pay for the use of a local market loo or buy something from a cafe/restaurant to use their facilities but if you have to go…you have to go.

You can find and may use toilets in any restaurant, coffee bar in the cities or villages and they’re quite clean. No need to buy something. But don’t expect to find toilets in Mekong Delta, unless you stop in one of the villages. So you’d better do “the jobs” before the tour. Just in case, bring some toilet paper with you.

Down load the flush app, it will show you all public toilets in the area. It’s great!

Tell him, prior to the big trip, is to spend some time outdoors, preferably in a discreet location in your backyard, and get to know his garden hose. It will become his (and yours) best friend. 😀😂😂

No not really take wiped and a lot of squat toilets. Some cost 5000 vid. Hand sanitizer is a must . All depends where you are . Plan toilet stops ahead 🫢
