I’ll be going in mid March to Ho Chi Minh City .

I’ll be going in mid March to Ho Chi Minh City .Will be there alone for 10 days only and planning to stay in Ho Chi Minh City because I am getting dental problems fixed . Also because it’s my first time…Any good recommendations how to explore the city and the near by neighborhood?I watched some of the videos of Anthony Bourdain pinging out , enjoying the Vietnamese food . I noticed all the dishes he reviewed was with meat!I am vegetarian but I don’t mind eating fish. ( no shellfish )I wonder if the markets, street food he explored offers any . Or only in restaurants…?

Dale Stearman My husband is vegetarian. we went to a Met restaurant. there are many branches. We went to the one that had the best reviews. There were may foreogners there. Many guests wee being turned away and directed to other branches. 4 P’s pizza was recommended on this group but we could not secure a table as it was two far away. La Moi is an organic vegan restaurant it was delicious. We ate at two Indian restaurants Benares . The food was good at Benares , nice restaurant . There was another Indian restaurant that was walking distance to Tirant called red Chilli .We discovered this on on the last day of our stay The food was really, really delicious. They serve veg and non – veg . There is also a fancy restaurant near the War Remanants Museum that serves fine. dining vegetarian dishes. it’s an upmarket restaurant and you also shop downstairs for Vietnames le gifts and teas. It’s very pretty.

Most of the broth are meat based, not sure if u could accept. I went to Vietnam’s several times and I love their foods, just options for vegetarians is really limited if u can’t accept meat broth.

I’m a meat lover. But I could go on a month with just vegetarian food whenever I’m home in Vietnam. My mother has been a vegetarian for 20 years plus so I can tell you that the options are close to unlimited. Enjoy!
