I’ll be going in mid March to Ho Chi Minh City .

I’ll be going in mid March to Ho Chi Minh City .Will be there alone for 10 days only and planning to stay in Ho Chi Minh City because I am getting dental problems fixed . Also because it’s my first time…Any good recommendations how to explore the city and the near by neighborhood?I watched some of the videos of Anthony Bourdain pinging out , enjoying the Vietnamese food . I noticed all the dishes he reviewed was with meat!I am vegetarian but I don’t mind eating fish. ( no shellfish )I wonder if the markets, street food he explored offers any . Or only in restaurants…?

You can get plenty of vegetarian meals throughout Vietnam,, well where I’ve been you can.

We’re vegan and had no problems although we didn’t eat street food. So many vegan and veg cafes.

I too suggest booking a time with a local tour guide. It will help you to get a sense of what is available in HCM. The locals will always know certain things that social media doesn’t.

Take a city food motorcycle tour. Connect with Mekong Lily. She took such great care of us on our trip last March. She will tailor the tour to your interests.

Check out Filthy Vegan restaurant, open from early evening. It’s closed 1 evening, Mondays I think. He does mostly western style vegan food but will advise you on other local vegetarian food places. You can find some of his veg food review videos on FB
