I was at the pagoda in Na Trang and a guy offered to take our picture and then he said he the Vietnamese Red Cross he had a list of people who had given money and he wanted us to put our name on the list and our where we were from and donate some money. It was probably a scam but we donated only 200,000 dong he wanted more don’t know if it’s a scam or not, but it wasn’t much money. Has anybody heard of this before

I haven’t seen this in Vietnam but a similar thing happened to me in Japan. A lady was waiting outside of the hostel I was staying at. As soon as I walked outside, she approached with a clipboard saying that she was with the Red Cross. I said “Sorry, no” and walked away before she could continue so I’m not sure what she would have said but I was 99% sure it was to ask for money
There is NO such Need to Verify and Check whether IF it’s Legit Coz You Do Not have the capacity to Check at that moment ….
