I see lots of posts about fast track at the airport.

I see lots of posts about fast track at the airport. Is this just for flights coming in internationally, or for flights domestically within Vietnam as well? Are the wait times really that long? We are flying to a few different cities in Vietnam and I’m concerned now about how much of our day we will spend at the airport.

Landed with multiple international flights flights at Hanoi in the evening. Queues were huge we’d taken fast track with a guide and we were through in 15 minutes which after a long flight was very appreciated. Domestically we’ve taken 3 internal flights with out any issues and very fast transit times

No need for domestic flights. The reason why people get Fast Track service in HCM is because they won’t get to their connecting domestic flight on time if they get Fast Track. For domestic travel, all you need to do is arrive at the airport at least an hour or two before your flight and you’ll be fine.

I come through twice a year at all different hours. Sometimes 500 people in line – they open more gates – I’ve never waited more than 40 minutes –

Flew into Hanoi on Friday internationally and it didn’t even take us 20 minutes. No fast track. I don’t think many flights had landed before us tho. Think we flew in around lunchtime. I did hustle to immigration tho

If you’re flying domestically, you don’t have to go through all that. It’s pretty simple and quick.

Domestic is USUALLY fine. However flying from Da Nang to HCMC between Christmas and NYE took us 2 hours and my sister who flew a few days later had the same. As long as you’re not flying then, or over Tet, it should be okay.

I came a week ago the wait was so long ! But a immigration official approached us asked for 10 dollars we were taken straight to the front 🤣 put the money in your passport and show one of them I guarantee you be first in the line
