I did a very silly thing. When I booked my plane tixs from US to Vietnam, I forgot to add my husband’s middle name in the tix.

I did a very silly thing. When I booked my plane tixs from US to Vietnam, I forgot to add my husband’s middle name in the tix. The passport has his middle name but the tix doesn’t. I tried calling to add his middle name but the airline is requesting me to cancel and re- purchase the tixs again – I declined bc that would be sooo expensive. We are supposed to be leaving in a wk! So my question is, would my husband have trouble getting to the flight. Everything is correct but just not his middle name. I already feel dumb for my mistake so plz be kind 🙏

Approach your Airlines booth at the airport, they will give an accompanying letter to rectify the mistake and check you didn’t make the same mistake on the visa

I haven’t added my middle name in a couple of International flights an it’s never been an issue , my passport has my middle name on it .

I had the same thing a few years ago to Bali. My passport has no middle name.. ticket did. Airline said rebook-but I chose to not lose thousands of dollars. It was fine, but I guess if they wanted to refuse me boarding-maybe they could have😏😳

If it was vietnam airlines, i thought you add in for a small fee considering you send them a copy of passport + you already filled in DOB/ travel documents details in isnt it?

My husband has a middle name but I never booked anything with his middle name. We never had problem flying United airline for last 10 years. However, we had to pay $15 re-ticketing fee when we were flying domestic in Vietnam. This is just my experience. I hope you will have it figure out

No you are fine. Important is first name and last name on ticket matches your passport.

I’m not 100% on this but it’s probably most important that your visa matches the passport. I also didn’t put middle names on our tickets, we leave next week
