I am having second thoughts… 🙁 I have booked 7 nights in Da Nang and 3 nights in Hoi An. Now I’m thinking, should I move one day to Hoi An or leave it like that? Oh, I’m doing Hue separatelly. My idea is to stay in one place for at least some time, when possible, and I was thinking, since Da Nang is a bigger city, that would be perfect to relax for a while. Am I doing it right? There’s still time to rebook 😃

We did Vietnam in detail 8 years ago. Hoi An was just beautiful! Good food, great shopping and entertainment. At night it is magical – lanterns of all shapes and colours light the old pedestrian only town. Day trips from Hoi An are easily organised. Every year since then we now fly into Da Nang and spend 10 days at the Bel Marina Resort, Hoi An – wonderful staff, great location, great pool overlooking a quiet piece of the river and a wellness massage every day. Bliss! 😍 I hope this helps your decision.
I did 3 nights in each but wish I had stayed longer in Hoi An – I totally fell in love with the whole vibe of Hoi An
Half half or more hoi an
Last year We did just like you and I think it was great choice because Danang is the place to relax in the beach and chill. Travel in Vietnam and cities could be tiring and there you have the time and vibe to slow down near the palm trees 🌴😀
I way preferred Hoi an , we used the free bikes at our accommodation and it was great biking along the river and to the markets etc… we also biked 15 mins to the beach ..it’s very quaint … da nang is more of a city, we went in a couple of times and that was enough!!
Do half half if I were u, even tho I prefer longer in Hoi An but half half is fair way to experience both.
Danang was lovely but I personally would flip it. Maybe 3 or 4 days in Danang and 6 or 7 in Hoi An.
We spent a week in Da Nang in August and just went to Hoi An as day trip, and Hue.
It depends on what you like,we loved both places, you could split it in half.
