Help. My partner wants to travel to Vietnam but I am undecided if I want to go.

Help. My partner wants to travel to Vietnam but I am undecided if I want to go. I’m too old to rough it so would like to have a similar experience to travelling to Bali (luxury without the Bali belly). Can anyone suggest where might be nice to go? I’m also thinking maybe Singapore or Japan as an alternative. Thank you in advance

We have just done 3 weeks in Vietnam exactly as you describe, as we’ve had my parents with us. Stick to 4 or 5 star hotels and you’ll be fine.

I suggest the mountains of Da Lat in one of the beautiful resorts. I just stayed at Mo Stay Forest if nature is your thing.

Hue has been my favorite and in particular the aNhill Boutique- we lived in Asia in 90’s and time in Bali. You will feel a wonderful vibe. We were just there.

We have been to Vietnam many times. We have never had any health problems.

There are no shortage of luxury accommodations to spend $$$ in VN. It’s not all backpacker hostels and home stays. VN is amazing and the food there is so much better than in Bali. My vote is for VN!

We are in Vietnam now we are 60. We went with 5 star because it was still so inexpensive. We have been very pleased. We have been to Singapore also, we did love it but it is so expensive there. So it depends on how much you want to spend. Nothing is cheap in Singapore other than maybe Chinatown.

Vietnam is fabulous in every way… food, culture and its people. And loads of luxury if that’s what you’re after
