Can anyone tell me why the pizza here is phenomenal???? It’s much better than anything we have in the U.S. I have my own pizza oven so I’m pretty picky about my pizza. The pepperoni/margarita/quatro formaggi at Herbal Garden is amazing. To me, pepperoni is just pepperoni. It’s nothing special. But the pepperoni in Vietnam is sooooo flavorful. I was completely shocked at how good it was. The basil on the Margarita pizza tasted like it was picked that morning. The Quattro formagi was just straight up delicious.
Can anyone tell me why the pizza here is phenomenal????

When I arrived to Saigon in 2009 – all western food was at best 6.5/10 but the entrepreneurial spirit of the Vietnamese & the lower barriers for entry pushed expats to open more businesses selling products that we couldn’t get. Competition raised standards and given the price you’d need to pay for imported goods, unless your product was very good : you wouldn’t survive.
Because you have Virginia Pizza and not New York Pizza
Now I want pizza…🙄
